Motion made minimal. Santorini is a tabletop kinetic sculpture designed in Barcelona by Volta — a piece that moves with the air in the room and turns any surface into something worth looking at.
The form is spare and deliberate: balanced arms in powder-coated steel, each element calibrated so that the slightest current sets the whole into motion. Not frantic movement — slow, considered drift. The kind that makes you stop what you're doing and watch for a moment longer than you intended.
Inspired by the mid-century kinetic tradition of Calder and his heirs, Volta reinterprets the mobile for contemporary interiors: cleaner geometry, a smaller footprint, the same hypnotic quality. Santorini sits on a desk, a shelf, or a dining table and asks nothing of the space around it except a little air.
